GOOD MORNING 🙂

Welcome to Step One of our journey toward

Stillness & Emergence at times of Crisis

Let’s start with the beginning.

Whatever this beginning may be for you, three things are important as we start something new:

🌞 An awareness of ourselves;

🌞 An awareness of the context in which we happen to be; and

🌞 Positioning: our initial posture (physical, mental, emotional); our state of balance, focus and readiness.

Once an arrow has left the bow; once a word has been said, a decision made or an action done, there’s nothing much we can do to change the course of its destiny.

Our life, our circumstances and relationships, is the product of what we do.

And who we are is the starting point of what we do.

So let’s prepare ourselves to start and hopefully start to live more intensely, beautifully and usefully.

Concept

The way we define what is happening around or within us determines how we respond to what’s happening around or within us.

👉 Similarly, the way we define what we do determines how we do it.

💉 Allopathic doctors for example operate on the definition of health written in the books of the World Health Organisation: ‘Health is absence of disease‘.

A person is said to be healthy when they do not have a disease.  The job of the doctor is therefore to prevent or remove the disease – at least its symptoms.

Therefore the apparatus of antibiotics, surgery and pills known for suppressing symptoms more than really healing illness.

🌱 The traditional doctor on his/her side defines health as vitality and balance.

His job is not to remove anything but to cultivate the conditions of good health, stimulate energy, boost natural defenses and promote balance.

The way we define what we do determines how we do it.

✨ For every thought/belief/definition in our head, there is a corresponding emotion or emotional ‘poise’ or ‘positioning’ in our attitude – in our heart.

✨ For every emotion in our heart, there is a movement in our vital force – e-motions put energy in motion: they move it and become desires, motives and intentions.

✨ And in every movement of energy, for every desire/motive/intent, there is the seed of an action.

✨ Actions create results inside and outside ourselves:

Outside, they are our obvious, visible successes or failures;  Inside, they are our habits.

✨ Successes and failures in relationships and work create our circumstances;

✨ The sum of our habits create our character.

✨ When you put your circumstances and your character, you more or less have your life, your destiny.

And it all starts with the way we define things.

Questions & Practice for the day

You and I have recently been told that we have to stay at home because we’re in an emergency situation that could turn into a global catastrophe and forces our governments to lock the country down and keep us under home arrest. 🙂

And it is a fact that today – and for some more time – the world is under ‘Lockdown’.

A few billions people sitting at home in the age of globalisation, free circulation of goods, people and ideas … A truly unthinkable possibility only a month ago – and yet, here we are …

Before we move anywhere and explore anything else, I want us to start by taking stock and start with the facts.

TODAY,  I INVITE YOU to look at the following questions:

👉  WHAT DO I FEEL

How do I feel in my heart in the current circumstances?

The REAL feeling, not the one you ‘should’ have.

How does this global/personal situation affects my feelings?

Use feeling words.

‘Useless’ for example, is not a feeling: it is a definition, a judgment.  The actual feeling maybe be ‘disheartened’, ‘disappointed’ or ‘discouraged’

Be specific.

Use the FEELINGS list attached if you need to pinpoint the exact feeling.

As you go through your day, PAY ATTENTION to how you really feel in your heart.

Be sincere.

👉  WHAT DO I WANT

What does this current situation make you want and don’t want.

What possibility or opportunity do you see that you want to seize?

What does it make you worry about?

Again, be specific and sincere.

A lot of self awareness has to do with feeling and naming our feelings.

It is said that the word is a creative force.

This is not because words create things out of thin air or plasma – it is because they allow us to be AWARE of WHAT IS there that we could not ‘see’ before we gave it a name.

In any case, self awareness has everything to do with plain honesty with oneself.

We may hide certain parts of who we are to the world, this may be called wisdom, but we should definitely not do that in the relationship we have with ourselves.

👉  WHAT DO I THINK

How do I define the current situation I find myself in?

In your own exact words – the words that do not represent how you ‘should’ define it according to all the books you’ve read, but HOW YOU REALLY, SINCERELY, DEFINE what is going on in the world and in your life today.

One KISSS sentence – Simple, Short, Solid, and maybe Sweet
In any case: the REAL thing.

Then

Look at how your definition influences your attitude, your moods, your energy level, your well being and the quality of your relationships.

How does it make you feel?

What does it make you want? etc.

Reflection & Sharing

By the end of the day after you have worked with the questions, write your observations and reflections:

🌸 What did you notice/became aware of?

🌸 How did it make you feel?

🌸 What does that mean for you?

🌸 Do you do what you had decided to do?

Invest yourself FULLY in the practice & SHARE WHOLE HEARTEDLY your *Insights, Experiences, Realisations, Struggles and Victories*.

Thank you.

With love and gratitude
